About this course:
King James VI Golf Club is on Moncreiffe Island in the River Tay, near Perth. This 18-hole parkland course is flat and pleasant to walk. Surrounded by a floodbank with out of bounds along the top except holes 11-13. Small, well-defended greens require precise tee shots and controlled approaches, while short but tough rough and trees add challenge. Founded in 1858, moved to The Island in 1897. Current design by Old Tom Morris incorporates natural features like walls, burns, and heather. Clubhouse burned down in 1955 and was rebuilt on the same site.
