Ilkley Golf Club is set in the peaceful landscape around the River Wharfe, with Ilkley Moor as an impressive backdrop. The 18-hole course offers a challenging yet playable test, featuring carefully shaped greens and fairways that emphasize smart placement and precision. From the whites, the course measures 6,276 meters, providing a fair challenge for both scratch players and higher handicap golfers. The club has a rich history dating back to 1890 and is one of Yorkshire's pioneers. Harry Colt and Alister Mackenzie have influenced the course's character, notably at hole 15. The competitive spirit is strong here, with club records of 64 by Colin Montgomerie in 2000 and 60 by member Henry Croft in summer 2025. After the round, the clubhouse offers panoramic views over the course.
