Houghwood Golf Course in St Helens is an 18-hole parkland course, established in 1996, with wide views over the Lancashire Plain and Welsh hills. The course combines large, receptive greens with rolling fairways, offering a playful yet challenging round. Early on, choices matter with short holes with clear boundaries, tactical par 5s, and a par 3 requiring a long carry over water. Facilities include a full clubhouse, Pro-Shop, Spikes Bar & Restaurant with daily food and drink, plus extensive practice areas including a nine-hole putting green, chipping green, practice nets, and fairway-style driving range.
