Hiwan Golf Course is a private 18-hole mountain golf course near Denver, at about 7,600-7,665 ft. It features a challenging 7,006-yard, par 70 layout with uneven terrain, tricky greens, water hazards, and bunkers. Designed by J. Press Maxwell, hole 12 stands out with waterfalls. Since 1962, it has a rich history, hosting Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1963 and the first Colorado Open, held here for 28 years. In winter, it serves as a cross-country ski area.
