Hillcrest Golf & Country Club is a private golf course in Lubbock, founded in 1950 and opened in September 1953 with 120 members. The 18-hole, par-72 course was designed by Warren Cantrell and is known for its well-maintained play character and impressive views. With tees up to about 7,200 yards, the course offers enough challenge for golfers looking to sharpen their game, as well as for experienced players seeking variety. Sharper bunkers, limestone accents along various tees, and landscaped ponds not only give the course character but also direct play tactically. Around the club, the atmosphere is welcoming, with a comfortable clubhouse, a pro shop offering club fitting, and excellent practice facilities including a driving range and putting and chipping greens. Hillcrest also hosts its own tournaments, such as the Men’s Club Championship and Women’s Club Championship.
