Hermitage Country Club

Do you happen to know this?

Is this suggested description update correct: Hermitage Country Club is a 36-hole golf club set in a landscape with stately pines, streams, ponds, and lakes, where the two championship courses Manakin and Sabot each have their own character. The course requires strategic play: bunkers, doglegs left and right, water hazards, and the temptation to reach some par-5s in two shots make every round challenging. Wind can especially be a decisive factor on the par-3s and par-4s, requiring a good balance of precision and courage. The club was founded in 1900 and has a rich tournament history, including the 1949 PGA Championship, the Crestar Classic from 1983 to 1990, and an Arnold Palmer moment in 1988. The Valentine Invitational and the Tommy Galloway Father-Son Tournament Match are also closely connected with the club. In 2011, Hermitage additionally received certification within the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for environmentally friendly management of the golf environment.?
