Helensburgh Golf Club cover

About this course:

Helensburgh Golf Club is a historic moorland golf course above Helensburgh, with wide views over the Clyde Estuary and towards Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Founded in 1893, the course was first played as a nine-holer that same year before being extended to 18 holes by 1905. Associated with Old Tom Morris, it offers a gently undulating layout that measures 6,104 yards and plays to a par of 69, with a classic blend of par 3s, par 4s and par 5s. The club provides a welcoming base off the course as well, with a clubhouse, refurbished bar, dining and catering for visitors and guests. Practice facilities include a short game area, driving range, practice nets and a putting green, while the pro shop and hire options add further convenience. The Helensburgh Boys’ Open, established in 1975, has also become a familiar name on the Scottish junior scene.
