Golfclub Essen-Heidhausen e.V. is located in southern Essen, in gently rolling terrain with old forest, hills, and protected nature. The 27 holes were designed by English golf course architect Donald Harradine. The 18 holes of Hespertal form a par 72, while the 9 holes of Schauinsland offer a short but refined par 32 continuation. The course features groups of shrubs and trees, streams, ponds, and diverse wildlife, and is playable almost year-round due to its location and water management. After the round, hospitality is offered in the clubhouse with terrace. For training, the club has multiple practice greens, a chip & pitch zone with practice bunkers, a driving range with 16 tees, 5 covered, and an indoor training facility with Trackman and Scope video analysis. A major renovation and bunker redesign by STÄDLER GOLF COURSES has further developed the course.
