About this course:
Golf Santo António / Parque da Floresta is an 18-hole golf course in the Western Algarve, designed by Pepe Gancedo. The layout makes thoughtful use of the natural terrain, winding over the hills behind the fishing village of Salema and close to the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park. Its character blends heath and parkland, with pines, eucalyptus and noticeable water features shaping the round.
Players are tested from the start with a demanding par 4 opening hole, while the par 5 ninth carries stroke index 1. Water comes into play again on holes 11, 15, 16 and 17. With a clubhouse below the finish and practice facilities including a driving range with covered and open tees, several putting greens and a short game area, this is a scenic and challenging Algarve golf experience.
