Golf Club de Lyon cover

About this course:

Golf Club de Lyon has a rich history dating back to 1919 and settled in Villette d’Anthon in the 1960s, where its two courses were established. The club is known for a course style emphasizing nature, variety, and strategy. Les Brocards, designed by Fred Hawtree in 1964, is a Par 72 measuring 6,105 meters from the back tees, featuring long Par 3s, many doglegs, and a parkland character that smartly shields the play. The Open de France was held here in 1979, and in 1993 Constantino Rocca set the course record with 63 strokes. Les Sangliers is also a Par 72, but at 6,575 meters with a pronounced championship character in a fully natural setting with woods and water. Water comes into play on nine holes, and the course has no blind shots. The clubhouse, built in 1966 with a mountain chalet atmosphere, is the heart of golf, gastronomy, and conviviality.
