The course is inspired by traditional links features, with natural sand dunes, restored coastal landscapes, and revetted-edge bunkers giving it a distinctive look. With 93 bunkers and 12 wetlands, Glenelg demands precision and smart positioning; water and dune-like obstacles often dictate play choices. Established in 1927, Glenelg Golf Club has a long history. The course was designed by Crafter + Mogford, with an earlier version by Vern Morcom, and plays as a challenging Par 71 for men. For practice, the course offers a driving range, a well-known short game facility for chipping and putting, and an additional putting green.
