About this course:

Glasgow Golf Club / Gailes Links is a classic links course in Ayrshire, officially opened in 1892. The club itself was founded in 1787, making it one of the oldest golf clubs in the world. Later, it established its own identity at Gailes. Designers included Willie Fernie and Willie Park Jr., and the course has retained its original character over the years. From the championship tees, Gailes Links plays up to 6,903 yards, offering exactly what golfers expect from links golf: open fairways, wind-exposed holes, and a challenging test of strategy and precision. Since 1973, Gailes Links has been a regular Open Championship Final Qualifying course in Scotland. It has also hosted the Home Internationals, Europe v USA Palmer Trophy, and various national tournaments, including the Scottish PGA Championship. Additionally, the Tennant Cup, the oldest open amateur strokeplay event in the world, is held here annually.
