About this course:
Golfclub Emmeloord offers two contrasting courses in the distinctive Dutch polder landscape around the terp at Suydersee. The 18-hole Suydersee course, par 72 and 5,673 metres from the yellow tees, sits on and around the terp at about 20 metres above sea level, with wide views over the Noordoostpolder. Wind and water shape the round, while elevation changes, bunkers and four holes where the greens are not visible from the tee add to the challenge.
Alongside it, Pionier is a 9-hole par-3 course, par 27 and 772 metres, closely tied to the club’s roots, when golf pioneers began here in 2003. After the round, the clubhouse in the original farm building provides a welcoming finish, and the club also has practice facilities for golfers looking to work on their game.
