Standon Lane, Ockley, Nr. Dorking, Surrey, RH5 5PQ, United Kingdom
Gatton Manor Golf Course is a mature 18-hole championship course in the Surrey Hills, designed by Commander John D Harris. The woodland layout spans 200 acres and demands precise play from multiple tees, including the blue tees for championships. The course combines length with a strategic design, where streams, lakes, and tree-lined fairways on 10 holes constantly influence play. Every shot requires planning and good course management to achieve a strong score. The club dates back to the late 1960s and offers a warm, informal atmosphere for members and visitors. For preparation, there is a driving range, chipping green, and putting green, while automated irrigation on greens, tees, and aprons contributes to well-maintained course conditions.
