Reservoir Road 20, 02170 Quincy
Furnace Brook Golf Club in Quincy, MA, is a public course with rich history. Designed in 1923 by Wayne Stiles, it started as an 18-hole course named Stoney Brae Golf Club. After selling part of the land for housing, it became a 9-hole course. Playing 18 holes totals par 70 and about 6,000 yards from black tees. Notably, on Sept 4, 1949, Marie Robie made the first female hole-in-one here, a 393-yard shot recognized by Guinness. The club hosts weekly men’s and women’s competitions, other activities, and offers modern facilities like simulators and lessons.
