About this course:
Freshwater Golf Club is located on Afton Down and Compton Down, high above Freshwater Bay, offering wide views over the Solent and the English Channel from every tee. This 18-hole downland course has a par of 69 and is built on freely draining chalk soil, making it playable almost all year round. This also makes the club an attractive destination for golfers in southern England during winter. The layout combines natural elevation changes with historic landscape features, providing a challenging round for players of all levels. The seventh fairway even runs through two Bronze Age burial mounds, the Tumuli. After the round, a relaxed clubhouse awaits with a bar and catering by Kittle’s Kitchen, alongside a pro shop and a lively atmosphere thanks to a varied activity program throughout the year.
