About this course:

Essendon Country Club is set on a scenic 400-acre estate with two 18-hole courses: the Old Course and the New Course. The Old Course, designed by Fred Hawtree and opened in 1976, is a par-72 parkland course over 6,800 yards, featuring tree-lined, hilly holes demanding accuracy, like the downhill par-3 2nd with a two-tiered green, the double green at the par-5 3rd and 11th, and the dogleg par-4 7th. The New Course plays as a par 73 over 6,700 yards, combining strategically placed bunkers with water hazards. The 8th hole is flanked by two lakes, while rolling fairways on holes like the 17th require extra direction and control. Together, both courses offer a charming mix of parkland golf, strategy, and precision.
