Ellendale Country Club is a private 18-hole par 72 course designed by Joseph S. Finger, Frank ‘Max’ Maxwell, Jr., CGCS, and Nathan Crace. Opened in 1967, it measures 7,120 yards from the Black Tees and offers multiple tees, ratings, and slopes for a challenging round for all levels. The Miniverde Ultra Dwarf Bermuda greens and well-maintained driving range and practice facilities complete the experience. Off the course, the clubhouse features a restaurant and “19th Hole” lounge overlooking the course. The club also has a full-service pro shop with club fitting and repair, golf lessons, and chipping and putting practice. Ellendale has hosted numerous professional and amateur championships and qualifiers, including the APT Golf Pro Tour Series, and holds a club record of 63 by Bubba Watson.
