About this course:
East Herts Golf Club is set in Hamels Park Estate, surrounded by rolling parkland and old trees near Hamels Mansion. The 18-hole course is Par 71, 6440 yards; ladies play Par 72, 5521 yards. Short distances between tees and greens make it walkable, but the tree-lined layout punishes wayward shots. Straight hitters are rewarded, making it a solid challenge for low to medium handicaps. Founded in 1899 and later moved to Hamels Park, the club offers extensive facilities: a large restaurant, two bars, a well-stocked pro shop, and a balcony overlooking the Par 3 18th green. The Halfway Hut provides refreshments mid-round, and a short game practice area completes the experience.
