Downers Grove Golf Club

Do you happen to know this?

Is this suggested description update correct: Downers Grove Golf Club, now Belmont Golf Club, has deep roots in early American golf. Charles Blair Macdonald designed the first nine holes here in 1892, after which the course concept was expanded in 1893 to the first 18-hole course west of the Allegheny Mountains. Today, you play a 9-hole par 36 golf course in an atmospheric setting with mature trees, natural areas, elevation changes, and water hazards that add an extra challenge to every round. The golf course also clearly reflects the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary character, with a green landscape full of wildflowers. For those who want to practice, there is a driving range with 24 hitting stations, a large practice putting green, a sand trap, and a chipping area. Above 10 stations, a covered shelter has been built so that the practice facilities remain comfortable even in cooler or rainy weather.?
