De Anza Country Club is an 18-hole par-72 championship golf course near Anza-Borrego State Park, at the foot of the Santa Rosa and San Ysidro Mountains. The classic desert design by Lawrence Hughes winds over rolling terrain with carefully planned contours and hazards that make every round challenging. With seven sets of tees, the course suits various skill levels, and you can play walking or by buggy while overlooking the rugged desert landscape. Since 1957, the club has had a strong reputation as a desert hideaway. The course was favored by players like Sam Snead and Billy Casper, and the annual Golden State Tour has produced champions such as John Chin and Kramer Hickok. Practice facilities are extensive, including a driving range, short game and chipping areas, and a large putting green.
