Country Club of Buffalo is a classic 18-hole golf course designed by Donald Ross in 1926, later enhanced by Robert Trent Jones, Geoffrey S. Cornish, and William Craig Schreiner. Situated on the Onondaga escarpment, it showcases the natural beauty of the limestone and quarry landscape in its design, creating a characterful setting where history and architecture clearly merge. The club has a rich history dating back to 1889. Two holes stand out: hole 6, a par three in an old quarry, and the 18th hole, which lies beneath a robust natural rock garden and plays toward the clubhouse.
