Cork Golf Club cover

About this course:

Cork Golf Club is a historic 18-hole championship course on the shores of Cork Harbour, set along the city’s Inner Harbour on land shaped from old limestone quarries. Designed by Alister MacKenzie, it offers a classic MacKenzie-style challenge with strategically placed bunkers, undulating greens, and a crisp, heath-like playing surface that rewards accuracy and smart shot-making. The course has a strong parkland feel, with fairways and greens woven into a scenic harbour landscape. Founded in 1888, Cork Golf Club has hosted major amateur and professional events over the years, including the Irish Open in 1932, the National Finals, the Ladies Home Internationals, and the Irish Boys and Boys & Girls Home Internationals in 2025. The Irish Close is also scheduled to return in 2027.
