About this course:
Club de Golf Larrabea is a classic 18-hole course in the heart of the Basque Country, set within the El Retiro estate and designed by José “Pepe” Gancedo. The layout follows the natural contours of the land, creating a strategic round where woodland and water come into play from tee to green. Drives are rewarded for finding the right corridors between the trees, while greens are guarded by bunkers and shaped by elevation and smart landing areas.
Founded in 1988, Larrabea sits on an estate with a history dating back to 1862. The club also features a 19th-century clubhouse and a comprehensive practice area with covered bays, a natural turf hitting area, bunker practice, putting greens, and a golf school. It has hosted 13 national championships and is closely associated with Jon Rahm in its golfing story and training culture.
