City Park Golf Course is a historic 9-hole golf course in Baton Rouge, designed by Tom Bendelow and built in 1926. As a municipal golf course, it is among the first listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Renovated in 2007, the course features four par-3 holes and five par-4 holes spread over 40 acres with mature trees, lake views, a small bayou, and elevation changes up to about 25 feet. The course demands precise play and tactical putting, especially due to challenging green slopes. Hole 2 is narrow and requires accuracy, while Hole 8 is a long, nearly blind uphill par 3. The clubhouse includes a Pro Shop for service and golf supplies.
