Bruntsfield Links cover

About this course:

Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society is a historic 18-hole course with a Par 71 layout measuring 6,466 yards. The course features a parkland character, winding among mature trees, with well-maintained fairways and greens that have undulating shapes and subtle slopes. Well-placed bunkers and elevation changes add extra challenge, making precision in the right spots important. Since its founding in 1761, the course has had several leading designers, including Willie Park Jr., Dr. Alister MacKenzie, James Braid, and Fred Hawtree. In 2018, Bruntsfield Links underwent a major redevelopment by Tom MacKenzie. The quality of the course was also recognized when the R&A selected Bruntsfield as a qualifying venue for The Open Championship between 2011 and 2015, alongside tournaments such as the Scottish Boys Stroke Play and the Seniors Amateur Championship.
