About this course:
Bonnyton Golf Club is an 18-hole course designed under Dr. Alister Mackenzie's supervision and opened in 1922–1923 with an exhibition match featuring George Duncan, Abe Mitchell, J. H. Kirkwood, and Walter Hagen. The course combines parkland holes with elevation changes, requiring precise and thoughtful play. Water hazards, bunkers, trees, and narrow greens make each round a strategic challenge, while various holes on slopes add extra variety. The opening hole sets the tone with water in play, and further on are a two-tier green and a par-3 with a ditch in the hollow. The clubhouse adds to the atmosphere with a relaxed setting and views over the 18th hole. For those wanting to refine their game, PGA facilities like lessons and club fitting are available.
