Towanda Avenue 605, 61701 Bloomington
Bloomington Country Club is a classic 18-hole course with traditional character. The par-71 course plays over 6,561 yards and combines rolling meadows with mature, tree-lined fairways and natural features like streams and ponds. This offers plenty of variety and a pleasant balance between relaxed rounds and a more challenging test for golfers of varying skill levels. The club has a rich history: founded as Bloomington Golf Club in 1896 and established as Bloomington Country Club in 1902. Over the years, the grounds expanded to the current 18-hole layout. The course has hosted notable tournaments, including the 1980 Illinois Open, multiple editions of the Illinois State Men’s Amateur Championship, and five editions of the Illinois State Women’s Amateur Championship.
