About this course:
Blainroe Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 course measuring 6,175 metres, created under the Hawtree & Son design signature and opened in 1978. In 2005, Martin Hawtree redesigned the course, adding sand-based greens and upgraded tee boxes with additional greenside and fairway bunkers. Set on a cliff top just south of Wicklow Town, it combines views over the Irish Sea with a westward outlook toward the Wicklow Mountains and the kind of micro-climate that supports golf throughout the year.
The modern clubhouse looks out over a private beach and offers daily bar and catering facilities, while the fully stocked professional shop is run by a PGA professional. Buggy and trolley hire are also available, adding to the appeal of this demanding yet rewarding Hawtree-designed golf course in south-east Ireland.
