Golf Course Drive 410, 22903 Charlottesville
Birdwood Golf Course is an 18-hole par 71 championship course designed by Davis Love III and Love Golf Design. Set in a rolling 200-acre landscape inspired by the Blue Ridge Mountains, it features panoramic views on several holes. The design blends international template holes with an American links feel, demanding precise play around ravines, creeks, water, and bunkers. The mix of longer par-4 and par-5 holes with strategic par-3s makes Birdwood a challenging test of course management. Adjacent to the main course is The Nest, a six-hole par-3 course ranging from 45 to 135 yards. Also part of the complex is Ridges, an 18-hole practice facility spanning 31,000 square feet behind the clubhouse. Birdwood is home to the University of Virginia, giving the course a distinctly competitive atmosphere.
