Battleground Country Club is an 18-hole golf course in Manalapan, Monmouth County, on 220 acres. Designed by Hal Purdy, opened in 1961. Redesigned 2002-2004 by Northeast Collaborative with Robert McNeil. Varied, challenging layout with long traditional par 4s and a notable par 3 over water, suitable for all levels. Located in a quiet, green area with historic 'battle' past. Offers full-service golf shop, extensive practice facilities, PGA support, clubhouse, members-only grille room, Terrace on the Green, new pavilion, and four Har-Tru outdoor tennis courts.
