Atlantic Golf Club is a private golf club with a course designed by Rees Jones, opened in 1992. The course lies in a landscape of rolling hills, tall fescue, and ever-changing sea breezes, requiring golfers to constantly make choices and maintain ball control. This makes the round challenging for strong players while remaining attractive to golfers of all levels. Atlantic has also proven itself as a tournament course, hosting the Met Open in 1995, the U.S. Senior Amateur Championship in 1997, and the Long Island Open Championship in 2009. It is also home to the Hamptons Invitational Celebrity Pro-Am, known as The Gust, played since 2014 for local charitable causes.
