Athabasca Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole championship course in the Athabasca River valley, surrounded by boreal forest. Established in 1963 as a nine-hole layout, it expanded to 18 holes in 1995 by Sid Puddicombe. After a $1.8 million renovation, the course regained its character of challenging holes in harmony with nature. With multiple tee options, the course plays from about 5,400 to just over 7,000 yards, suitable for beginners and experienced golfers alike. The greens are responsive with clear undulations that keep putting sharp. Wildlife such as foxes, moose, deer, and occasionally bears can be seen. The clubhouse features an upscale restaurant and a well-stocked pro shop, while the driving range invites you to refine your game.
