Ardrossan Golf Club is an 18-hole sand scrape course with watered fairways and tee boxes. The course is relatively short from all tees and has a gently rolling character, making it attractive for golfers of various ages and levels. The parkland landscape strongly defines the playing experience: the course runs along a deep creek cutting through the layout, adding extra challenge, especially on openings where precise and sometimes long shots are required. The club has a rich history dating back to before 1924, when enthusiasts played on makeshift holes near Dinham’s Hill. The course gradually expanded to 18 holes, with later improvements around the creek and water management using recycled effluent water in the 1990s. The club life also has a strong competitive tradition.
