FK8 3UY Braeval, Aberfoyle, GB
Aberfoyle Golf Club sits at the foot of the Menteith Hills on the southern edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, with views stretching from Ben Lomond in the west to the River Forth valley and Stirling Castle in the east. Founded in 1890 and later extended from 9 holes to a full 18-hole course in the 1980s, it makes natural use of the terrain for a round that asks for imagination and varied shotmaking. Though shorter in layout, the course offers an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all handicaps. The club’s relaxed, friendly atmosphere continues in the clubhouse, where players can settle into the spacious lounge and make use of the changing rooms and self-service honesty bar after their round.
