Chon Buri is Thailand’s principal eastern golf area, with most playing concentrated around Pattaya, Bang Lamung and Si Racha, while additional options sit inland toward the province’s lower hills. The setting mixes coastal lowlands, reservoirs and gently undulating terrain. Courses commonly use tropical planting, water hazards and bunkering to shape play, and conditions can differ between exposed coastal sites and more sheltered inland layouts.
The province works well for a golf trip based in Pattaya, where hotels, dining and evening transport are readily available, but quieter bases near Si Racha or the countryside can shorten drives to selected clubs. Traffic around Pattaya and the main highways can add time, so tee times and transfers deserve planning. November through February is generally the most comfortable period for walking; March to May is hotter, while the wet season can bring heavy showers, soft ground and temporary delays. Morning tee times are useful year-round, particularly during warmer or wetter months. Many venues operate with caddies and carts, though walking policies, course maintenance schedules and pace of play vary. Check each club's current requirements before travelling, especially when arranging several rounds.
