Golf in Berlin
Berlin offers an urban base for golf trips, with playing options concentrated around the outer districts and readily reached across the wider metropolitan area. Visitors can combine a round with museums, restaurants and neighbourhood stays, while the flat to gently rolling landscape around the capital suits an easy driving itinerary. Public transport is excellent in the city, but a hire car is generally the simpler choice for reaching golf facilities outside central Berlin.
The playing season usually runs from spring into autumn, although conditions can vary after rain or during cold spells. Tee times are best planned in advance, particularly on weekends and public holidays. Berlin’s broad accommodation range makes it practical to stay near rail links or choose a quieter base on the edge of the city. Allow extra travel time for traffic when crossing Berlin, and check each club’s visitor policy, dress requirements and any handicap expectations before booking. For a longer trip, Berlin also works well as a starting point for courses in Brandenburg, where more rural settings broaden the choice and create a different pace comfortably.
