About this course:
Pinehurst #2 is a classic 18-hole course with a par of 70, designed by Donald Ross and first opened in 1907. Its wide fairways, iconic sloped turtleback greens, and playing surfaces framed by native wiregrass and sand create a demanding but distinctive championship layout. From the Blue tees, the course measures 7,588 yards and rewards accuracy, strong approach play, and a careful reading of its varied greens.
Steeped in American golf history, Pinehurst #2 has hosted more single-golf championships than any other course in the country, including back-to-back U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open championships in 2014 and the 2024 U.S. Open. It remains one of Pinehurst’s most celebrated courses, where golfers walk in the footsteps of legends on a stage built for championship golf.
