Mortonhall Golf Course in south Edinburgh is an attractive 18-hole, par 72 course. Founded in 1892, it's Edinburgh's oldest active course. The 6530-yard championship layout offers a serious test with well-kept greens and fairways lined by mature trees. Views include Edinburgh, the Firth of Forth, and the Pentland Hills. The clubhouse, renovated in 2020, features lounges, a fireplace, and south-facing terraces overlooking the 18th fairway. Facilities include a pro shop and practice areas. The course has hosted events like the Scottish Amateur Stroke Play, Scottish Youth Tournaments, and the 2017 Scottish Girls Under 16’s.
