About this course:
La Quinta Golf & Country Club is an established private golf club in the Coachella Valley, built around an 18-hole championship course designed by Lawrence M. Hughes. Opened in 1959, it has a strong golfing heritage and long been associated with the Bob Hope Classic, now known as The American Express. The course is known for its carefully crafted playing conditions, with greens praised for their quality and a layout that rewards thoughtful strategy.
Players can expect narrow fairways, deep bunkers, elevated tee shots, and frequent water hazards, including lakes and a waterfall feature that protect several greens. The clubhouse, rebuilt in 2009, adds to the setting with views over the course, gardens, and surrounding mountain ranges, creating a refined backdrop for a memorable round.
