About this course:

Gosforth Golf Club, also known as The Bridlepath, is set in a quiet, green suburban area of Gosforth near Newcastle. The 18-hole course is split by a path dividing the terrain into two parts, offering a varied and characterful round. The course features a mix of long, challenging holes and shorter ones, with wind and layout often influencing play. The finishing hole, a par four of 434 yards, is played frequently into the prevailing wind, bordered by a hedge on the left and the Ouseburn on the right, making it a serious test. Founded in 1906, the club quickly expanded from a 9-hole start to 18 holes; the clubhouse dates from 1913.
