About this course:

Golfclub Gaasterland is a 9-hole golf course in Southwest Friesland, designed by golf architect Alan Rijks. The course stretches to 2,800 metres and is set within 43 hectares of protected natural landscape, where golf and nature are closely intertwined. From the clubhouse, you can look out over hole 1 and the putting green, while playing through an area rich in flora and fauna. The course’s natural character is reflected in more than 150 plant species and the chance of spotting deer along the way. Founded in 1986, Golfclub Gaasterland was the first course in Europe to receive the Groenlabel. Golfers can also make use of six additional par 3 practice holes, adding variety to a round in this distinctive natural setting.
