About this course:
Alfreton Golf Club is a 10-hole parkland course next to Oakerthorpe Woods, featuring a well-maintained and challenging design with beautiful views of the local landscape. The course demands accuracy, strategic choices, and smart putting, with recent updates enhancing playability. In 2019, new par 5s were added on holes 3 and 13, and in 2022, hole 8 received a new green on higher ground. The club offers a warm atmosphere, a clubhouse, and a welcoming 19th hole for meals and snacks. Practice facilities include putting greens and nets. Established in 1962, the original wooden clubhouse served during WWII, replaced by a new clubhouse in 1976. Competitions for ladies, men, juniors, and mixed golf, plus events like the Rider Cup, are key to Alfreton Golf Club.
