Klopt deze voorgestelde wijziging voor omschrijving: Old Westbury Golf and Country Club has a rich history: the former estate of William C. Whitney was transformed into a private golf club in 1961. Course designer Will Mitchell created three interconnected nine-hole loops, forming a 27-hole golf course with a clubhouse in Georgian Colonial style. From one of the highest points on Long Island, the course offers panoramic views, tree-lined fairways, and beautifully manicured greens. The course combines natural elevation changes with many mature trees and calls for a variety of shots through different tee lengths. With Bluegrass, Overlook, and Woods, different 18-hole routes can be composed. Old Westbury also features a 300-yard driving range, an extensive short-game practice area, and golf lessons and clinics for adults and juniors. During the season, tournaments and golf socials are also on the schedule, including Nine, Wine and Dine and the Tower Invitational.?
