The course features bermudagrass tees and fairways and MiniVerde ultradwarf bermudagrass greens, providing a varied and enjoyable playing experience for golfers of all levels. The history of Ben Geren dates back to 1966. The original 18 holes, the Magnolia and Willow nines, along with the clubhouse, were developed in 1971 and opened in 1972. In 1995, nine additional holes were added with the Silo course, designed by golf course architect Jeff Brauer. There is also a restoration project for Massard Prairie, which further enhances the natural prairie atmosphere of the course.?
