The Old Course at Vilamoura is a classic layout designed by Frank Pennink and opened in 1969. Set among mature pine trees and rolling fairways, it rewards accuracy and thoughtful course management, with narrow landing areas, strategic bunkers and trees that bring risk and reward into play on many holes. The mix of uphill and downhill stretches keeps the round varied and engaging, while a scenic par 3 played over the course’s only pond adds another memorable test.
Known for its heritage and challenge, The Old Course also features longer par 3s with ocean views, creating a distinctive golfing experience that appeals to players of different skill levels. The clubhouse completes the day with a restaurant inspired by a classic British pub, serving simple, freshly prepared dishes alongside international beers, wines and signature cocktails.
