About this course:

The K Club’s Palmer South is an inland links-style course that combines dune-like mounding with dramatic rock features in a true championship setting. Cleverly elevated vantage points add to the experience, giving the layout a distinctive sense of theatre for both players and spectators. The course offers a demanding test, with key holes such as the 3rd, 7th, 16th and 18th calling for precision and confidence throughout the round. Palmer South has also played host to memorable European Tour moments, including the 2004 Smurfit European Open, won by Retief Goosen two weeks after his second US Open title, and the 2007 edition, when Colin Montgomerie claimed victory by one shot after ending his trophy drought.
