RG4 7UT Mapledurham
The Caversham, home of Reading Golf Club, offers a championship-standard golfing experience on the Eyston Course, an inland links laid out to USGA standards and playing from 5,536 to 7,319 yards. Redesigned over the last two years by Canadian course architect Tom McBroom, it blends a rustic look with modern design touches and provides eight different layouts through combo tees, giving golfers of many abilities a suitable challenge. From the championship tees, the course delivers a demanding test that has attracted strong industry attention. The club also places a clear emphasis on practice and development, with plans for a six-hole academy course, a 300+ yard driving range, a putting and short game green, and specialist short-game practice with bunker options. Its history reaches back to 1910, with a major reorganisation in the 1930s, a return to play after the 1963 clubhouse fire, and a move to The Caversham in 2021.
