St. Nicholas Golf Club, founded in 1851, is a traditional Scottish links course on the Firth of Clyde coast. The course features deep bunkers, narrow fairways with gorse, and undulating greens, requiring tempo, planning, and precision. At 6044 yards and par 69, it offers a varied and challenging links character. The clubhouse near the shoreline adds to the club's historic atmosphere. When weather permits, the course plays firm and fast, enhancing the typical links feel. Views towards Ailsa Craig and Arran are visible from the course.
