About this course:
Real Club de Golf La Peñaza is an 18-hole, par-72 course in Zaragoza, set in an arid, desert-like landscape that gives the round a distinct oasis feel. Designed by F.W. Hawtree, it makes clever use of natural undulations, with fairways positioned in the hollows and minimal earthmoving shaping the layout. The cierzo wind often adds a demanding extra dimension, rewarding accuracy and thoughtful course management over pure distance.
Founded in 1969 and granted Real Club status in 2017, La Peñaza has a strong club identity and a technical, moderate-difficulty character. Its greens were fully renovated in 1999 by Integral Golf Design with José María Olazábal, further refining the course’s precision-based challenge. Practice facilities include a driving range, putting green and chipping green, along with a clubhouse with dining.
